Bloomsburg Women's Basketball Falls to East Stroudsburg

BLOOMSBURG - The Bloomsburg University women's basketball team fell to East Stroudsburg 70-58 on Wednesday night.

East Stroudsburg came out strong on both the offensive and defensive ends and lead by as many as 22 in the first half. Bloomsburg went on an 8-2 run in the last four minutes of play to trail by 15 at the break, 38-23.

In the second half East Stroudsburg came out strong once again, jumping out to a 21 point lead. The Huskies fought back and went on a 12-1 run with 8:23 left to play. The Huskies would trade baskets, although it wasn't enough to get closer than 10 points, ending the game at 70-58.

Colleen Kegerreis (Schuylkill Haven/Schuylkill Haven) lead the Huskies with 14 points, while Stephanie Rankin (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) had 13 and Kelsey Gallagher (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg South) chipped in with 12 points.

Jackie Yandrisevits led East Stroudsburg with 15 points, while Keri Cahill and DeAnna Rayam each had 14 points.

Bloomsburg hosts West Chester on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
